Perhaps it wasn't a typo when you said that what is clearly the best way to reduce gun deaths was not "needed'.

PatsFan2003, I apologize as you are easily one of (IMO) the best liberal posters here and are always respectful. I made a mistake there.
I agree. PatsFan2003 has always been a class act.

Ahum, the English king no longer could be all powerfull because a small document named the Magna Charta... and they only lost power (and their head) thereafter. Compared to just about evey single royal ruling a sizeable piece of land he was weak, and had very limited power. He was far from a tyrant - especially compared to his contemporaries - and most American leaders of the rebellion knew this.
Of course non-Walsh approved historians are liberal and biased. Yet contemporaries are somehow objective; sure, especially when they are revolting against Georgie.
1. Who said the king was "all powerful?"
2. Who said he was equivalent to the modern-day king of Bahrain?
3. Who said he was as powerful as all other monarchs of his era?
You see, this is where you start trying to "give a history lesson" instead of acknowledging what I said. You can fling poop all over the walls and it doesn't matter one bit as it pertains to my point. And my point was, history is constantly being rewritten by liberals who are attempting to make George III somehow more likeable and less of a tyrant. In fact it probably makes you think that the colonists were something less than morally upright and intelligent men (as your references to them in the past have been less than flattering). 3 questions-
Do you deny that his image started receiving a large-scale American makeover in the 1950s?
Do you deny that the impression of George III NOW is different than it was THEN (when people, you know, actually were experiencing his alleged tyranny)?
And more simply, do you think the colonists were WRONG to revolt against George?

That was before I realized how inflated your view of your status in the world was (and hence of the influence that could be presumed to follow). My apologies for the error, and for the dramatic conclusion I drew based on it.

I think it's because of KFFL's settings on Tapatalk. I use the TT app on other message boards and I can see who is being quoted...and picutres as well...but on KFFL I can't see it.
I should pay a visit to the support forum....the KFFL app is so-so because it only opens KFFL in safari...which isn't conductive to posting on my phone...

One possible benefit to having armed guards in schools -- perhaps they can protect the girls from the football team.

One thing I get a kick out of is when people start on with this line about - this legislation being 'knee-jerk emotional reactionism to Sandy Hook'. The fact is that Sandy Hook is really just (not to minimize it, rather the opposite) more 'icing on the cake'. There are many, myself included, who have long felt these high volume/capacity weapons are just plain 'personal killing machines' and have no place in common society. I realize the gun-grippers feel they have a right to whatever firepower is available, but everyday people have a right to safety from these WMD's. It is thereby incumbent on the 'gun-grippers' to find a way to assure that; so far they haven't. Is armed security in schools one possible facet of the answer? I don't see why not. Is limiting access to these weapons another? I don't see why not.
There are many more shootings than just Sandy Hook that have led to this outcry. How many more will we need before it is heard?
