AP vs. PFM for comeback player of the year? MVP?

What AP is doing is unhuman this year - but Peyton Manning is even more remarkable when the season is done - he will have been responsible for 5 more Ws on the year - no other player can say that.

If Minnesota makes the playoffs and AP breaks Dickerson's record, I'd think he has a strong shot at MVP. If they don't make the playoffs, I don't see how he can win the MVP. Although APs comeback was almost shocking that he came back so quickly- he only missed a few games last year - so I think the guy who missed the whole season is the frontrunner.

However, I think AP should get Offensive Player of the Year.

Apparently, fighting 3 cops was part of Peterson's rehab - whatever works, right ??? ;)

If Peterson breaks Dickerson's, it'll tough not to give him the honor ...

But he's going against Peyton Manning ...

How about this: Manning wins league MVP, and Peterson is comback player, and everyone is happy ....

Or they could share the honor - tough not giving it to either

This is one of those 1A vs. 1B years. Both are fully worthy and have had amazing returns. That said, I love our new field general, but he's 1B. AP missed one game after leaving the best part of his knee on the Astroturf in Minnesota. It's a miracle that he's walking without a limp, not potentially rushing for the NFL record. Manning is having one of his best years and is comparable to this year’s top tier QBs. Compare AP with this year’s No. 2 and beyond RBs. AP is at 1812 vs. the second best runner at 1398. He's not just returning from a devastating injury, he's completely dominating his field...no one even close. It's a no brainer.

As much as I love what PMF is doing for us which is taking an 8-8 team to 13-3 and the #2 seed I find what AD is doing for Minny very compelling. His chase for Dickerson's record aside after his ACL, I would venture to guess Minny is a 2 win team without AD. When he is outrushing his QB's passing yards in close to half their games it indicates for me how bad Ponder really is
