I think Sanchez had some potential early in his career but that's been crushed out of him by now. He looks and acts like a skittish deer waiting to get hit by an oncoming truck. The Jets front office is pretty pathetic too.

Could happen to a better franchise!!!!

Sanchez is 4-2 in the play-offs...with all the games on the ROAD.

IMO, he's "broken" right now...but still has the potential. He has no offensive weapons at all...Shonn Greene is just a big bruising back..not a game breaker. Powell has some potential. Keller has never been an elite TE..not even top 10, IMO. Then there's Holmes (who is hurt now) who is a decent receiver, but not in the top 15 in the league...other than that..it's just undrafted FA's at WR. The offensive line is okay at LT (Ferguson) and C (Mangold)....but otherwise very bad on the right side. The Jets D is pretty good...good linebackers...and great corners (Revis is out)...but this is a PASSING league and you gotta score to be able to win.

I think a change of scenery would do Sanchez wonders...put him on the Minnesota Vikings and I guarantee you he looks half-way decent.

Those 4 wins are from 2-3 years ago when he looked almost decent. Now he's a mess. I don't doubt that the pitiful Jets offense built around him (which was better 2-3 ago as well) adds to his problem but a lot rests on his shoulders as well.

Mark Sanchez is what he is...an average QB that needs all the pieces in place to have any success. He needs a first class rushing attack, so he can fall back on play action, and quality receivers to bail him out. He'll also need an elite type defense....but even if he has all of that, I'd still say that team isn't a Super Bowl contender, simply because of the QB position.

When the Jets were featured on 'Hard Knocks,' I remember thinking that Sanchez didn't really exhibit the kind of confidence you typically see in an NFL QB. He was unusually hard on himself and made comments about his play that seemed to indicate that he didn't think he was that good.
