I think the most amazing thing is how much better Willie and Ted were than Joe DiMaggio. I never imagined it was that much.

I haven't read through the methodology part yet, but I know I have to question it right off the bat if it puts Stan Musial ahead of Mickey Mantle...

Ted Williams may have been the best pure hitter of all time. The funny thing is that he never played that well in the post-season.

I'm happy and surprised Brooks Robinson was rated so highly.

He was playing one WS with a fractured elbow. Can't imagine its easy to hti with that.

Any list that has roiders on it doesn't do much for me.

Any list without roiders on it is not going to be reflective of the 100 best players. The voters were specifically instructed to ignore any nebulous character issues.

Amen to that! Although I do think he is rated just about right.... I didn't think they'd give defense that much love.

Arguably the greatest defensive player at any position ever.

    We love ya' Brooksie!!!!

Nolon Ryan and Roberto Alomar should both be higher.

And Honus Wagner needs to be top 5. It's Honus ****ing Wagner, FGS.

I think Nolan is too high actually and Brooks could probably be a little higher.

Lefty Grove is IMO about 20 places to low.

He's possibly the best SP to ever hit the bump.

The guys who I was surprised to see ranked so highly were: Biggio, Brooks Robinson, Tony Gwynn, Eddie Murray and Reggie Jackson.

On the flip side I thought that Lou Gherig, Lefty Grove, Boggs, and Piazza were ranked lower than I would have anticipated.
