    DeCastro & the OL

Tomlin has said DeCastro has progressed enough that he has a chance to start at RG this week against Dallas. Tomlin said he would like to get Pouncey back to playing the Center position and Foster would move from RG to LG. Word is it hasn't been DeCastro's injury keeping him from the field, but it's been from the lack of practice he had out with the injury. They feel if he continues to progress at the rate he ha he should be ready to start this weekend. Thoughts?

I know a bunch of you didn't want to see him play this season. I'm on the other side of the track. I want him to get some playing time so that he doesn't come into next season as an inexperienced rookie. Any snaps he get's this season will help with his development going forward. It will also help the OL coach determine what he needs to work on going forward. I can't wait to finally see him play. He's definitely going to give a boost to the right side of the OL.

The other thing is we had a lot of trouble up the middle last week and not being able to get 3rd or 4th & shorts. I don't believe it's a coincidence that it coincided with Pouncey not playing Center. Moving Pouncey back to Center and inserting DeCastro into the lineup should all us to get those short distance yards we couldn't get last week.

Pounced is moving to center because he is a better match vs. the Dallas NG for one. Too bad Adams isn't healthy. Would be a pretty good OL.

Biggest concern is pressuring Romo into mistakes. Very doable. A loss doesn't kill us. We can still beat Cincy and the Clowns to get in.

If DeCastro is ready he should play. Our season is on the line these next couple weeks and we have lost a few bodies on the oline. Play the man.

I'd put the very decent Ramon Foster at RT and throw him in there at a guard spot. I think that's the best alignment talent wise.

I'd prefer Pouncey at Center against Dallas and I only have reservations about DeCastro if there is a safety issue playing health wise, if he's ready and can play at a high level then play him.

The key to this game will be controlling the ball and getting after Romo. If we can't get to Romo it's gonna be a long day with what our secondary is looking like going into this game.

Though we can get in beating Cincy and Browns, winning this will give us a little more breathing room.

Anyone here focus on DeCastro this game and can give a report on how well or not he played? At least I haven't seen any penalties on him.

I blame myself for this. I fvcking post about DeCastro and about 2 minutes later he makes a mistake missing an assignment late in the game at almost the worst time he could have. It's my curse and I should have known better then to ask specifically about a player until the game was over and no longer could damage be done.
