After you talk about the hole in her nipple, where do you go with it? You’ve got nothing.
We need models. They're beautiful, they're rich, they travel lots, you don't have to spend that much time with them. Those f-ers that date models, they got it made. My next girlfriend's gonna be a six-foot-tall model. Definitely. Big one. I like those chicks.
Either emotion helps you play better or it doesn't. If you think it doesn't, so it makes no difference either way, that's a rational perspective that I can accept, even if I may not quite agree. But to argue that it DOES help, but it only helps us and not them is staggeringly irrational.
I think what everybody else is interpreting this as is this; In a game like this if you need emotion to get you up for the game then you shouldn't be playing. The Packers always come to play. We as a team have been flat as hell. Marshall coming out and "giving them bulletin board material" means nothing to them. They're ready to play. But are we? It wasn't really feeling like it until Finley's comments about Urlacher and now Marshall coming out and saying what he has said.

Oh so if the exact same thing happens in the exact same way, only then my comment applies?
African American, please.
They're both bulletin material that motivates the other team and, in that regard, they are the same.
"Jesus is ideal and wonderful, but you Christians -- you are not like him."
From a guy that actually is allowed in an NFL locker room:
On if he's (Marshall) worried about comments becoming bulletin board material: "Absolutely not. If you need words to get your team going or get riled up, that's sad, especially in a game like this. Bulletin material, that's bologna, especially in a game like this. I welcome anything at this point."
Then why is he saying all of this? If it doesn't fire up the Bears or Packers, then why is talking so much sh!t? So I can be more embarrassed after the loss?
This is stupid.

You know he brought a Charlie Brown Christmas tree to this interview with him, which he kept in front of him the whole time right? Also he was just being candid.

That's my take on it.
Oh really? Then why did they respond with trash talk back the other way? Because it means nothing? If that were the case, they would've shrugged it off and not responded.

Okay. So he brought a Christmas tree to the press conference and had it in front of him the whole time.....I honestly don't know the point you are trying to make.

The only person from the Packers I've heard saying anything at all is Jermichael Finley. And by all accounts, he is not a smart man.

Can't argue with that conclusion. But I can add that in other regards, they are hugely dissimilar.
One rant is a guy saying what everyone knows about his feelings toward an opponent who embarrassed him earlier in the year, and the other's a loudmouth failure of a human being (and arch-enemy of George Halas) rubbing in a stolen victory by calling the other team a bunch of crybabies.
One Marshall upped the ante. Ours ain't the one.

So, to be honest, I don't know what effect Marshall's comments had on the game. Respectable score since I was thinking it may be a 45-3 blowout.
The problem with the post game evaluation of what effect a players comments had on the game is that I have nothing to compare it to. In the hypothetical scenario where Marshall does NOT make pre-game comments, do the Bears kick the Packers asses on their home field because the Packers players are not as motivated; or do the Bears play flat and Green Bay annihilate the Bears? There is no "control group" in this experiment.
Regardless of how I differ with Marshall on smack talk, I do like his spirit.

I think Marshall personally backed up his comments with his scoring catch in the 1st half. He put the defender on the ground and "walked" into the end zone.
