I collect presidential campaign buttons -- sort of. I have about 40 of them. My oldest is from the 1951 Eisenhower campaign.

I can't believe I forgot that I collect Pittsburgh Steeler 18 Wheeler Die Cast trucks. I have almost every truck since the early 90's. I am missing 1996 which i a bitch to find at a decent enough price to buy.

I don't collect comics, but I watch Comic Book Men and now wish I would have bought comics as a kid. I think I could have really gotten into them. Just not sure I could have afforded sports cards, marbles, & Comic books. Anyone have any valuable comic books?

I've watched that a couple times and I'm with you on that. Its mind blowing how much money some comics can bring in.

I have not checked lately and I am afraid to look at there condition. I have the original Watchman comics. But my favorite and most valuable stuff was stolen by a roomate long ago. New Teen Titans #1, Conan #1 and few others that I don't exactly recall. In that stolen box was the very first USA Today and John Riggins SI super bowl cover. Losing that stuff was a bummer, so kind of why I stopped collecting.

I do wonder if my Elf Quest and Fish Police have any value.
It is well with my soul.

I was going to say I don't collect anything, but I realized that I have a decent art collection. I bought a few outsider artists (go to House of Blues and look around; that's the stuff) when they were lesser known and inexpensive. I'd like to collect more modern stuff, but it gets pricey. I have some friends' work, but that's about it.

Dang. Just looked up some of it. Things have appreciated. I bought my Willie White drawings for $2-300 and they are going for $1400 now. I see a Purvis Young watercolor on a manila file folder for sale for $4000. I have an entire book of sketches by him on old ledger paper and bills of sale, hundreds of drawings. And I have a full-sized painting on plywood that looks like it could go for $4-5000. I think I got all of it for $600. I'm not sure I could ever sell it, but I might want to bump up my insurance.

"You do not like religion; we started from that assumption. But in conducting an honest battle against it, which is not completely without effort, you do not want to have fought against a shadow like the one with which we have struggled." -- Friedrich Schleiermacher
