Marty gets an awful rap for that pats game. He badly outcoache belichick tht and. Eric parks fumbled twice including once inside his own five, McCray did his dumb thing and those talented Wrs dropped at least ten balls (and any star that doesn't have that is being too easy on the charger Wrs that game). Nothing to do with Marty.

Maybe not, but he had a history of it and I don't think he did anything particularly outstanding as a coach to be honest. Good starter coach who will fire up the troops. Nobody was beating his door down to hire him afterwards.

The playoff game in 2004 vs the Jets, did the Kicker miss a game winning FG in regulation or OT?

I'll give you that game, but his overall postseason record is 5-13. It's not all awful rap. He pretty much sucked swollen blue whale nuts as a playoff coach.

He'll always have his UFL Championship title or whatever to fall back on though.

I'm just saying, firing him after a 14-2 year and THAT game, where Eric Parker makes Kyle Williams last year look like a Super Hero is the exact wrong time to do it.

Now the Jets game, the Chargers had a greater leg to stand on. But then again, Norv probably had an ever better case to be fired after HIS jets game.

Not to mention letting Rivers play on one leg cost him a SB berth in 2007-2008.

The dude couldn't even look at the left side if the field once he dropped back. He cost himself multiple TDs by not being able to plant and throw left.

Not that I think he's a great coach, but I'm surprised Billick hasn't gotten another shot. Was there another Super Bowl winning coach who didn't?

Yeah, so lets just give the Chargers a win on the road then, I am sure Billy Volek would of made all those plays.

The D gave up only 17 points. Volek could've put up 18.
