That game haunts me. That was the team to win it all and McNabb and Reid choked. No other way to put it. Reid's decision to get in a snit with Trotter earlier in the season proved to be an enormous mistake as we have a hole at MLB all year, and McNabb came up small when he was asked to throw it too much, when we should have been pounding the smallish Tampa D with the "three headed monster". Painful, painful loss for a team with definite championship caliber defense and special teams units.
There was no three headed monster. Buckhalter missed the whole year and westbrook gained under 300 yds from scrimmage that year. It was Duce and Dorsey Levens.
2003 was the year of the three-headed monster, and even then westbrook missed the playoffs with a torn triceps if I am not mistaken.

You are right, the three headed monster was the following year. It was Levens and Staley.
The Eagles ran the ball 18 times in the game. The leading runner, Duce, got 13 carries. Meanwhile McNabb chucked it 49 times.
That has ALWAYS been a formula for losing. But Ried thinks he knows better.
And yet, no one is mentioning the defensive player that was injured, and didn't tell anyone because he wanted to be on the field, and was exploited, that gave up those big plays and score to TB. Nah, the defense is never to blame.
