    Harvin placed on IR

Just saw the headline on ESPN. There's something else going on, too. Very weird, but definitely related to the episode from training camp...I'd bet it's QB related.

not that the season wasn't already over, but Harvin is done for the year.

IMO there is no excuse to play Wright the stupid 25 snaps he got last week.

The coaches are way too happy to play trash like Jenkins and Burton. I don't care if Wright can't crackback block a DE.

Harvin's a great player, but the injury bug seems to follow him around every season...even dating back to his days at Florida. I've always admired his talent but man, he just can't seem to stay on the field....whether that's the migraines, muscle pulls, etc. It really is a shame because he's such a dynamic athlete. There's a very noticeable difference/void in your offense with him not on the field. He made Ponder's stats look much better by turning in those little screen passes into huge gains. It's definitely a tough blow.

this is the first time he's missed significant time. He gets dinged from time to time....as anyone would when they are used the way he's used and the way he plays. the migraines seem to be a thing of the past. I think this is more of thing where perception isn't necessarily reality. just my two cents.

Something is rotten in Denmark on this front.

He went down with the injury a month ago.

The timeline on this injury is 4-6 weeks.

He has been seen arguing with Frazier in the Seattle game, speculation is that he wants Webb at QB.

If you beat a depleted Bears team at home and then a mediocre Rams team you are 8-6 and quite possibly a playoff team. I don't think that will happen but it is certainly possible.

So you put him on IR? That makes no sense. There is no reason to do this, especially when you don't have all the players active anyway.

I suspect he told someone that he wanted a QB change or he wasn't going to try real hard to get back and they made the decision for him.

Especially when it would just make more sense to play Webb and run the triple option or something.

if that's the case, is Percy even the kind of guy you want on your team?? I agree that Ponder is terrible, and shouldn't be a starting qb for anyone, but that last scenario you mention makes Percy a terrible teammate. It's definitely fishy.

Supposedly they have a good relationship but I don't know what else it could be. Something doesn't smell right here and its not Christian's floaters.

He has had a problem with Muskrat before, maybe that is it.

Regardless, his BS PR statement today and the timing of things don't seem normal.

He had 100 touches in 9 games... He's way too frail for that kind of workload IMO.. I think he's too good of a player to pull that...

then again, he is looking for a big payday, and why play on that grade 3 sprain?

    I agree Percy was overworked.

Here's my take: Harvin is hurting. He offered to come back and play hurt, but only if the Vikes extended his contract with some guaranteed money. He is the 51st ranked WR in pay in the NFL. That is not right.

They said "no", he said "then I am not playing hurt" and they IR'd him.

I can't truly say I blame Harvin under these circumstances.
