This chart does make it look like the Broncos would be crazy not to use Dresseem more often (Dresseen's spelling always makes me hallucinate)

    Thanks, Crash - good link.

On a side note, I find MHR unreadable since they changed format. Purple Row (Rockies) is the same. Both are part of SB Nation. Rubbish.

All it tells me is that Elway knew what he had at WR and what he needed to bring it all together and I don't mean just Manning. Scott Pioli was suppose to possess this kind of depth of understanding, but does not seem to.

We are almost always in agreement on the aspects of good football management practice. What the Elway crowd as done in 2 years is eye popping. John Elway really deserves a lot of credit. It surely is not true - that Elway is good at this because he was a star player - he is good at this because he manifests the elements of good leadership which are: 1) Accurate self- assessment (you have to know your weakness so you can hire someone to compensate for it), 2) A principled - clear idea of what you want to obtain, 3) communicate that all arguments over policy and direction be explained in how it helps accomplish the mission.

John Elway has fostered this kind of environment in Bronco management - the addition of Peyton Manning -coupled with John Fox - enforce this understanding and commitment throughout the roster - there doesn't appear to be anyone on this team who isn't aware of their responsibility to the effort and achievements of the team.

I totally agree and would add that his father should have been a GM and JE has football in his blood. Very well prepared.

Strang this flowed this way cause I been wanting to adress Elway. Elway Is probably the best at seeking and finding the "it" factor..

Elway had alot of say the last 10 years who was on the team . He seems to know how to give a player more time to make it . I think this might be why Shannahan might be struggled when Elway left the team .Elway was his GM.

There is not doubt Elway wanted to be the GM when he was playing.
