    Rolando McClain

Sources are saying Rolando McClain will be released by the Raiders. Should we have any interest in him? I liked him coming out of college and he' still only 23 years old. 6'4 259 lbs MLB. Think he'd fit next to Timmons? I know he's been a bit of a head case, but with this veteran team and strong coaches in LeBeau and Tomlin I wouldn't worry about it. I just don't see him coming in here and causing problem with a guy like Harrison looking over him. Anyway should we have any interest. I doubt we'd win the claim, but don't we have to at least put a claim in?

Maybe not a bad idea. Foote has actually played well this year, but he's getting up there. His upside has to be better than the ILB backups.

He pulled a gun on someone at a funeral. And he has sucked and been a malcontent.

So... No. I'd rather try and rehab Curry's career.
The consistent factor of all of your dissatisfying relationships and failures is you.

McClain flourished in a three four at Alabama but has had issues with Oaklands four three. On the other hand as Superbelt pointed out, he's lazy and IMO not a very sharp guy with definate off field concerns. I'd be shocked if the Steelers went after him. His contract is back loaded with over 5 million due next year and close to 6 million the year after so it ain't gonna happen. Of course if he's around and he could be brought into training camp at the league minimum for next year they could take a look and see if anything has changed about his attitude and work ethic but I don't see any of those things in place.

We have enough distractions don't need malcontent problem guys coming in. I'm already annoyed we brought Burress back at 35 to be the #4/5 bench receiver and lost a young ST/WR who has shown usefullness in Gilreath.

Man, that's a quick fall from grace for a first rounder. This guy was a stud at Alabama and a "sure fire" NFL prospect. Pulling a gun at a funeral?? Lazy and a malcontent?? Doesn't sound like the kind of individual the Steelers would hire.

He didn't look that great when they were running the 3-4 the past few years either.

No way the Steelers are touching this guy. He'd probably be fine as a Buck-only LB, if he could ever remove his head from his anus, but I can't see that happening any time soon.

Even if they COULD land him, Pittsburgh certainly ain't taking a 5-6 million dollar a year risk on him, you can pretty much bank on that. Some team with more money than sense will put in a claim....which is probably a shame. I think getting hacked from the Raiders and having to sit out for an extended period could be the wake up call McClain needs.

He was great at 'Bama, no question about that.....but he had the aforementioned host of off field issues and seems to be suffering from "entitlement syndrome" if you've ever taken a look at his Twitter feed.

WOW, did not know about that. Maybe pass then.
