    Interesting Tidbit from Peter King

Not sure if you read PK's MMQ, but I found this interesting today:

    6. I think these sound like the top 10 NFL assistants who will get sniffs for head coaching jobs in the league next year (in order):
    1. Mike McCoy, Denver offensive coordinator
    2. Mike Zimmer, Cincinnati defensive coordinator
    3. Vic Fangio, San Francisco defensive coordinator
    4. Perry Fewell, Giants defensive coordinator
    5. Dirk Koetter, Atlanta offensive coordinator
    6. Dave Toub, Chicago special teams coordinator
    7. Bruce Arians, Indianapolis interim head coach/offensive coordinator
    8. Ray Horton, Arizona defensive coordinator
    9. Kyle Shanahan, Washington offensive coordinator
    10. Clyde Christensen, Indianapolis quarterbacks coach.

What I found interesting was a name not on the top 10 list - JDR. :)

I can see McCoy leaving for the right job, especially if we make a deep playoff push. The best part of a deep playoff run? Fewer teams are willing to wait to sign a new coach until after the superbowl.

This would be the opportunity of a lifetime for McCoy - such large coat-tails don't come along all that often

I bet Dennis Allen wasn't on the list last year? I still expect JDR on somebodies list. In reality I hope he stay's for awhile.

It's hard for me to not consider the Colts QB coach as a lucky SOB.

Kyle Shanahan has done a great job putting RGIII into a position to suceed - he deserves the kudos.

Kudos? Sure. A gig as a head coach? Hell no.

Fair enough LGM - Kyle needs some Coordinator experience before we go Josh McDaniels on him.

If the kid is anything like his dad, absolutely down the road he deserves a shot. I think he's gotten this far on his skills as much as his last name; I'd like to see him really make a name for himself before moving on to the next level.

Of course even then the first time or two can be a miserable failure, a la Shanny or McDaniels, who I still think eventually could make a good coach.

Bruce Ariens deserves some coach of the year love this season with the job he's done in Indy this season.
As cliche as it may sound, I'd like to raise another round, and if your bottle's empty help yourself to mine, thank you for your time and here's to life.
