Jeffery to have Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

I think they'll shut him down for the rest of the season. What a shame...he was showing promise before his hand injury.

It's a 2-4 week injury. Why would they shut him down for the year?

Because they generally take the precautionary route with rookies.

He's been their 2nd best WR when healthy and they're in the middle of a push for the playoffs. Unless they're lying about the severity of his injury, he'll be ready to go long before the playoffs start. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to IR him.

I agree, but because of the way NFL teams are so secretive about the severity of player injuries (especially the Bears), I don't trust anything they say.
