He's been their 2nd best WR when healthy and they're in the middle of a push for the playoffs. Unless they're lying about the severity of his injury, he'll be ready to go long before the playoffs start. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to IR him.

I agree, but because of the way NFL teams are so secretive about the severity of player injuries (especially the Bears), I don't trust anything they say.
