    Week 12 Big Games:

Houston @ Detroit: Already looks slim for Detroit... If they lose, they're pretty much out of it... I'll be surprised if they win 3 of their last 6 games...Houston otoh, has a pretty ez schedule remaining... I see them winning at least 4 of their remaining 6 games... Win or out game for Detroit...
Detroit 4-6 (Indy, @ GB, @ ARZ, ATL, CHI) ; Houston 9-1 (@ TEN, @ NE, Indy, MN, @ Indy)

Washington @ Dallas: Huge game for the both of these teams... Skin's win, they're tied with Dallas for 2nd place w/in their division... If the Giants lose to the Pack this weekend, Skin's would only be one game back w/in the division... A Dallas win would pretty much take the Skin's out of the race... Dallas needs to win to keep at least one game back of the Giants if they do indeed beat GB... If they lose, Dallas and NY would be tied for first place... Dallas has one tough schedule remaining so a loss here would make it tough when considering their remaining schedule...
Washington 4-6 (NYG, BAL, @ CLE, @ Philly, DAL); Dallas 5-5 (PHI, @ CIN, PIT, NO, @ WAS)

Minnesota @ Chicago: Big game for both clubs, especially the Vikings... If the Vikings win, they would be tied with the Bears at 7-4... For the Bears, they can't afford to lose 3 straight games while falling to 7-4... Vikes have a very, very tough schedule ahead of them so a loss here would pretty much be the end... Great opportunity for the Bears to put the Vikes out of their misery's here...
Minnesota 6-4 (@ GB, CHI, @ STL, @ HOU, GB); Chicago 7-3 (SEA, @ MIN, GB, @ ARZ, @ DET)

Buffalo @ Indy: Hard to imagine that the Bills still have a legit shot... It appears that a possible 9-7 team could get a Wild Card sport in the AFC... Bills are definitely in the hunt at 4-6, especially if they can give the Colts (who hold down one of the WC spot as of today) another loss... The Steelers hold down the 2nd WC spot right now and with BB hurt, the Steelers look like they could begin a little slide here... A very favorable schedule remaining for the Bills if they can win this game... 4 of the Bills next 5 games would be at home...
Buffalo 4-6 (JAX, STL, SEA, @MIA, NYJ); Indy 6-4 (@ DET, TEN, @ HOU, KC, HOU)

Atlanta @ Tampa Bay: Tampa is on a 4 game winning streak - 3 of the 4 with records under .500... Ther remaining schedule is going to be tough... ATL looks like they're sitting in a pretty good position right now...
Tampa Bay 6-4 (@ DEN, PHI, @ NO, STL, @ ATL); Atlanta 9-1 (NO, @ CAR, NYG, @ DET, TB)

San Francisco @ New Orleans: San Fran has the Hawks nipping at their heals with a game remaining with them in Seattle... Be interesting to see how they handle the QB situation... I'd be surprised to see Kaep get the start if Smith is 100% healthy... Weren't Niner fans just complaining about how a pass attempt should've counted as an attempt so that he would've had the record with 19 of 20 passing or something like that? And now they want him to be replaced by a guy that had one good game? Anyhow, Saints are muddying up the water in the WC race... They're on a huge run here while scoring in the thirties... Going to be a tough task for the Niners... Niners have some tough games ahead of them... I think they handle StL just fine the next time around but NE and SEA are going to be tough games on the road...

San Francisco 7-2-1 (@ STL, MIA, @ NE, @ SEA, ARZ); New Orleans 5-5 (@ ATL, @ NYG, TB, @ DAL, CAR )

Green Bay @ New York Giants: Huge game for the both of them... Cowboys nipping at the Giants heals and GB tied w/ Chicago right now with a game remaining w/ them... Since the Packers started out 2-3, they've been on a 5 game winning streak since then.. On the contrary, the NYG have been on a 2 game losing streak...Eli has thrown 4 INT's and 0 TD's in his last 3 starts... NYG loses, the Cowboys AND/OR Skins will gain a game on them...

Green Bay 7-3 (MIN, DET, @ CHI, TEN, @ MIN); New York Giants 6-4 (@ WAS, NO, @ATL, @ BAL, PHI)

Seahawks @ Dolphins: With a loss, the Phins will pretty much be toast with 2 games left with NE and a game left at SF... Win keeps their hopes alive... Hawks otoh, need this game on the road... Hawks have about 5 teams vying for that last WC spot... Loss here will hindur the Hawks hopes of grabbing a WC spot... Hawks need to beat a team like this

Seahawks 6-4 (@CHI, ARZ, @ BUF, SF, STL); Dolphins -4-6 (NE, @SF, JAX, BUF, @ NE)

Can't wait to eat turkey, hang with family and watch football on Thanksgiving... I like the fact of having 3 games on Turkey Day...

What, the Big Monday Nighter doesn't get you excited? HA!

Great slate of NFC games this week. Big games in the East and North especially.

What? The Jets and the Patriots game isn't dynamic enough for you? After talking to Jets fans this week, I'm convinced that all the Jets have to do is run the table, have the Patriots lose to the Jets, Houston, SF and split with the Dolphins and they're in!

If the Vikings win and the Packers lose, three teams at 7-4 in the NFCN. Packers would still be in 1st in tie breaks at this date however. Week 17 Packers at Vikings could be prime time game, who would've thought that.

Packers need to stay solid and then Woodson and Jennings return. That is more than most any team can claim so it is a big deal.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, good points... Who'd thought that 3 teams could be 7-4 after this weekend with one of those teams not the Lions... I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Vikings win this weekend, especially with the extra week of preparation...

Well, Pats don't need this game but they can end the Jets season. So that should be enough drama to make it a top 5 game this week. And it's Boston v. NY.

Niners fans tend to be highly reactionary. There was a period in the 80's (before our 4th SB win) where everyone and their dog wanted Montana on the bench too. We're a really terrible group as far as support goes.

Detroit is out of the postseason hunt... Even they did win out (Unlikely with their schedule, the best they could do is 9-7, not good enough to get a postseason spot imo...

Skins' just played themselves back into the postseason picture... RGIII missing Garcon appears that it hurt the offense a bit in the passing game... RGIII seems to be revving up his engine with Garcon back on board... Tough games remaining for the Skin's and the Boyz... The last game of the season could be determining a postseason spot...

Detroit is definitely out. While unlikely, a 9-7 team still has a chance, but not with a 2-4 division record (including a sweep by the Vikes), which is the best they could hope for at this point.

If the Packers beat the Giants, then the Skins aren't just back in the playoff hunt, they'd control their own destiny in the NFCEast.
