    Vick out - foles in

    http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post...ck-for-a-while

Vick underwent impact testing on Friday, but was below the baseline, Burkholder said. He will be tested again on Monday. Burkholder said that he would normally give a concussed player a three or four-phased exercise challenge, but that Vick wasn't ready.

"He has too many symptoms for us to even exercise him," Burkholder said.

Even after he passes the testing and exercise challenge, Vick must see an independent neurologist and then the team doctor before he's cleared to return to practice.

"We're early on in the process," Burkholder said. "We're still in what I would consider Phase I. ... Right now it's not in Michael's best interest, in the league's best interest, in our best interest, it's not even close to him playing this week."

Translation... Vick is benched.. health related issues will help save face and keep things from getting a contraversy. We will see how Foles does, before we decide if Vick is getting better or not.

editorial... It will be nice to see Foles. At least get a glimpse of what we might have in the future, and get him some experience. I'm concerned about the lack of protection making him get into some very bad habits and make poor decisions. But it is what it is - let the kid fly. Either way, it's time for Reid to go.

As much as we're all looking fwd to seeing Foles, i don't think this is a ruse. I think Vick truly is f'd up and Sunday wasn't his first concussion this year. And we all know what happens with multiple concussions in a short window of time. If there's any conspiracy here, it's that.

Been awhile since I've been excited to watch an eagles game. That being said, I really hope Reidhweg dont have the kid slinging it 30 times per half like last week. That'll get him killed behind that line.

Don't you need a brain in order to be concussed?
Humor aside, this is exactly what the Eagles needed and perhaps what Reid needed but don't be fooled, this remains a seriously flawed team thanks to Reids many shortcomings.

Not even remotely impressed by Foles this week. Arm is certainly not as strong as advertised and he wasn't very accurate. Gotta see how he responds the next few weeks as it doesn't look like Vick will be back this year ... but I didn't see anything in Foles to make me think he's the future of this team at QB.

It's amazing the difference the regular season vs the first team defense compared to mop up duty in the preseason can have on a rookie QB...

I saw a lot of good things early from Foles, a few real good reads, some nice balls, then after Stone Hands Celek allowed the ball to clank off his hands and had the ball picked off, and the o-line allowed the jail break on Foles, he began to throw off his back foot which is typical of rookie or young Qb's that get scared. After a few too many shots you get gun shy, and you begin throwing off the back foot with nothing on your passes. That is what has been happening to Ryan Tannehill lately as well. ya just have to hope they don't ruin him..... ala David Carr.

This guy just keeps dropping back until he decides to throw it off his back foot. He made a few good 3rd down throws showing some promise there. A lot to work on and Andy hasn't been successful yet working on any QBs footwork. We'll see how it goes. Better than watching Vick at least.

I didn't see one good thing Foles did yesterday. He was just awful. And this after the Skins fans coming in here telling us their defense is the perfect elixir for green QBs. One game doesn't write the book on Foles, but there was nothing encouraging to see.

FFL...Did you bail on the fantasy football league? It's the 2nd time for sure that I'm aware of you haven't done your lineup. You would of won this week had you. If you think your out of it you should still be updating it for the rest of those who still participate in it.

So now that you posted this topic you should be aware that Vick is no longer the starter and he didn't play last week either. So no need for him to be starting for ya.

Are you serious? The kid showed poise, especially early in the game, he made very good reads, and threw some good balls.....throughout the game as he was getting decked he began making typical rookie mistakes, the same type mistakes that even the first rd Qb's that were selected this year are making...Like Andrew Luck being picked off 3 times this week 2 that went back for td's.
