    No dominant team this year?

Can't remember it being this bad since I've watched football. Maybe 2008, but the Titans started 12 or 13-0, the Giants started 11-1. You have the undefeated Texans having a hard time last week with the Jets and are getting their ass handed to them against the Packers. You have the Falcons who won by the skin of their teeth 3 straight weeks, against 2 bad teams and 1 team that ended up playing their backup QB in the game. You have the Niners, everyone's favorite "best team in the NFL" get their asses handed to them today. You have the Ravens who supposedly dominated statistically by the Cowboys (didn't actually see the stats though), they beat the Ravens 9-6 and barely beat the Browns. The Pats are 3-3 and lost to two teams that are improved, but let's face it they have no business losing to. Then you have the Giants who scored only 17 points against 2 teams that look mediocre (Cowboys and Eagles) and couldn't force a punt in the 2nd half against either. Oh yeah they got gashed by the run in both games in the second half.

Is it as wide open as its ever been?

Parody has been coming for a while. I don't think there is a dominant team most years lately.

I know the Packers had a ****ty D but they were pretty dominant last year. I missed most of 2010 season due to personal reasons but the Pats were pretty dominant. 2009 the Saints were dominant in both the regular season and the playoffs, ditto the Colts. 2008 the Titans and Giants were very good. The Steelers were tops in defense in like every category.

It doesn't look like there is a dominant team but the same handfull of teams will be there in the end with all their strengths and weaknesses. NYG/SF/ATL/CHI in NFC, HOU/NE/BAL in the AFC, with NE looking like the weakest of the bunch. Pit looks like the only team that can make a run if they get healthy.

Hard to believe the Jets lead the AFCE.

    Parity.

Or was it a pun against Goodell's management?
