    The Offense, It's not Good.

It looks like we successfully stemmed the flow of blood on special teams, at least for a game, but this offense has been bad 3 out of 5 games, really bad.

Remarkably, our defense has been our best phase on the football field. Vick was getting smashed all day and we finally started generating turn overs. I think if the offense had been even average in the first 3 quarters our defense would have played even better, but I think later on they started getting tired for all the stupid 3 & outs on our offensive side.

Stafford had his worst game of the year today, IMO. He was missing open receivers and couldn't find any touch on the ball. I think he was 6 and 21 at one point. Just brutal.

Calvin also was guilty of about 3 mental mistakes today which hurt the offense early on. That push off in the end zone wasn't needed. Stafford actually made a good throw on that pass. I think if he just goes up for it he wins that battle 8 out of 10 times.

The 5 yard penalties on both sides of the ball were mind boggling. I think we ended up wtih 15 or 16 penalties. That is enough for 3 games.

    I can't believe we won.

Stafford has not been good this year.

Can't they save us all the stress and just have the game begin with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter with the opponent up 10 or 14? Who cares how it gets to that point...it will inevitably end up like that.

There were some interesting rumors that popped up this summer about Stafford. Most were quickly taken down by mods on the high-traffic Lions forums, but they were around long enough for me to see them...

Stafford had put on weight and seemed more interested in donuts and blondes than putting in his offseason work.
    Stafford had a coke habit.

He hasn't looked good all year, I'm starting to think there was more to those than just pure internet muck-raking by some troll.

It was a nice come-from-behind win today, but last year's Stafford and CJ score 40 points against that defense.
The cake is a lie. I'm pretty sure the numbers in the pie chart are made up too.

Whatever the reason, Stafford has looked quite off this year. He missed a lot of open guys today. He got us the win at least though.

I can see why their mod deleted those threads. That is some powerfully wreckless speculation.
