Webb will hurt a lot, he was the only guy that can cover anyone and one of our best defenders. We will miss Lewis' leadership on the field but he is getting a little long in the tooth, slower and hasn't been at his best this year in run or pass defense. We got some guys that can fill in there so while a loss, certainly not as big as losing Webb.

Suggs is coming back probably after the bye, so we will get a lift there but man this was a bad day for the defense and losing Webb is just devastating to a defense that already sucks.

Wasn't Suggs a ruptured Achilles'? I wouldn't expect him to be his regular self so soon. Hard to recover quickly from that... especially considering he's not 25 anymore.

The AFC is just not good. Houston will roll to 12-4 or better based on their Charmin schedule, but the rest of the playoff entrants will probably be somewhere between 8-8 and 10-6. Thought BAL could step up as a 2nd great AFC team, but the injuries on D may be too much.

Boy it sure is strange to see teams run at will against the Ravens.

No kidding. There are only 2 teams with winning records in the AFC with winning records if Denver beats SD tonight.

By comparison, there are 7 in the NFC and the 9ers wouldn't even make it in if the season started today.

Seems to be a mounting wave of injuries across the league.

I know, and we were getting gashed to the point where a 3rd and 6 was as easily as manageable by running as it was passing. no pass rush to speak of despite blitz after blitz each as ineffective as the last.

it's bad to watch, especially being used to a more tough and dominant defense especially vs the run.

up the middle still seemed strong. But the outside defense was awful. Seems like anyone could bounce it outside with ease.
