Are we all holding our breath?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm almost scared to get excited for this team. We shouldn't be this good coming off of the last two seasons, and the last time, hell every time we get excited about this club we get the dagger stuck in our chest.

But we're amazingly 4-1, and have a very winnable game tomorrow. Arizona will be very tough, but at least it's a home game. Then Tampa Bay, which should be a very winnable home game. Seattle's a rough road game, then Detroit at home.

Do we start to get excited if this team is 7-3 going into the bye? Or are we all expecting the wheels to fall off sometime soon?

arizona isn't very good. and now they have to start a 3rd string tailback. i wouldn't be a believer, but they aren't winning with smoke and mirrors....they aren't making mental errors, they play solid defense, and can run the ball. Kalil won't be offensive rookie of the year, but dang, you can make a case for him. our O line is legit. our D backs are legit. 2 areas that were the two biggest weaknesses last year are now strengths. sprinkle in blair walsh...the last 2 drafts have been pretty good.

I'm pleasantly surprised with their effort and record thus far but I'm still holding my breath on any sustained success, yes. Outside of San Francisco and possibly Detroit their victories have come against poor teams at home. Anything can happen at home, especially with the Vikes. The road has always been a huge crutch for them and I'm wondering if tomorrow is going to be a big wake-up call. I love the season so far though..I've said that each victory the Vikings get is one more than I thought they might have had this year and it definitely leads to more promise in years to come.

I'm just planning to enjoy it while it lasts - and if that's into the playoffs, so much the better. I'm happy to be feeling optimism for the future. Like Cherub said, this week is a big test for us (although our victory over Detroit was at Detroit so we have at least one win on the road now).
