    Fantasy Basketball

Just wondering if anyone is running a free fantasy basketball league and needs an owner. I'm looking for a free fun league after the league I was in folded.

I think Kyle Lowry might be the best player to ever wear a Raptors jersey.

Put this in perspective: James Harden is the second rated fantasy player in the league right now. After what he just did last week...

We've had talented guys with no heart, Ego maniacs who could fill up a stat sheet and plenty of over priced players who could do 1 thing really well.

I cant say we've ever had a guy like him though. Maybe he'll cool down a bit, but he is so excellent defensively, he rebounds well for a little guy, he can score and pass. Handles the offense well. Even if he doesnt average 24 PPG, he still offers so much at PG its ridiculous.

The Raps would be BY FAR the worst team in the league without him. He's got more fire and heart than the rest of their squad combined.

So happy with that trade right now.

I certainly don't think he's better than Mcgrady and he has to do it for a while before being ahead of Stoudemire, but Lowry is a good one. He has his flaws and I've pointed them out in the past, but he's a pitbull on defense and he can make plays from the PG spot. I always thought he was a good fit for Toronto. He and Valanciunas could transform their style.

Now why they paid Derozan 10 million when he is a Nick Young clone I'll never understand, but oh well.

T-mac is exactly who I'm talking about. Stoudemire was a stud. Vince was a stud (A flawed one) and so was Bosh. None of those guys play the way Lowry does on both ends. Its crazy. In the games I've watched it looks like Lowry would die on the court before giving up.

Guys like McGrady gave you 28 PPG with no defense, no heart and no give-a-damn. He did jack squat in this league other than fill up a score sheet in a loss.

TMac may have declined defensively post knee injuries, but he was known as a stud in Toronto on that end at the very least. Not to mention that he was one of the best scorers the league has ever seen. He was no blackhole either, he was a legtimate point forward type.

Lowry gives great effort, no argument there, but he's not better than any of those guys. Vince was the most frustrating though. Bosh the most underrated by a large amount. Especially defensively.

    Haha, Bosh underrated.

He could move well, but I could probably push him around in the paint.

Its early. I'm willing to bet Kyle Lowry starts climbing the Raptors list in the future...The near future.

I never said he was Shaq in the paint. He's an All Star, top 15-20 player at a tough to fill position though and still in his prime. Lowry is what he is, we know by this point in his career. Nothing against him, but he's no superstar either.

Yeah, he can be your favorite player without having to be the best player of all-time. Saying he is better than McGrady is ridiculous. And I know Kyle personally.

One of 4 players to ever average 23-7-7-3 in the first 3 games of the season (KG, MJ and one other beast).

Dude is absolutely legit and has been insane so far.

He's never really been the main man. I think he's gonna surprise some people as the season progresses.

Sucks about his ankle injury last night though.

I've always paid attention to Lowry, so I'm not surpised. He won't keep up the averages, but he's a good PG. He was the man last year though fwiw. As much as he is now at least.

McGrady only played his first 3 years in Toronto. Didn't know that. Felt longer. Either way, you are saying he is the best Raptor ever, after 3 games into the season. He ain't close to being Vince Carter or Chris Bosh.

Well, continuing the Raptors case as the worst run franchise in the NBA...They are apprently offering up Lowry in trades instead of the really enticing Calderon deal. Also offering up Ed Davis instead of Bargnani (Why?)

Lowry is playing only 27 minutes per game and is among the ten most efficient overall players in the NBA this year. How many other teams bring their best player off the bench and only play him for 27 minutes?

I was quick to judge how good he was no doubt, but he is an excellent player who is coming off the bench for whatever reason. Such a pissoff.

His injury problems drag down his value a bit, but he has been nails when healthy this year. Hell Calderon has been good too.
