Where would people put McDaniels as an offensive coordinator? Top 5? Top 10? (At LEAST top 10 imo, maybe even top 5)
At least part of the blame on closing issues in this game has to be put on BB. Going for it on 4th and 5 instead of punting was stupid. Don't think this game ends up a nail biter without that questionable call.

#1 in points, #1 in yards, #1 in 1st downs. I'll take that kind of stupid.

LOL, ok that was good. Gotta admit, I'm holding Skippy to a higher standard too. Must be us old jaded Pats fans, we have very little tolerance for cocky young guys.

This is a good point. I remember McDaniel's first run and "his" propensity to not milk the clock at the end of the game and to keep throwing it, often times letting the opposition get another series or at the least breathing new life into them. Then it continued with O'Brien, now again with "skippy." The one common denominator is Brady... Not much of a criticism, but Brady has a lot of authority to change the play depending on what the defense shows. A lot. It's certainly a collective effort and not just the O coordinator that deserves the praise or blame. And remember too that McDaniel's is trying to mold this offense as he goes in his first year back. He's doing a great job, even with an occasional hiccup. I love the balance we have so far, and I'll take the every so often gaffe for more experience and consistency down the road.

Yup. If your offense scores high 20's,30's this team should win. I cannot sit here and take myself seriously and complain about about our OC in games where we score a bunch of TD's and break records offensively.

Do we even have this conversation if we had a defense that could hold a team to under 20 points on a semi-regular basis?

They're 17th in the NFL in scoring defense. It's not great but they're not a sieve either. Totally agree the issue of SB chances still hang on the D, but it's much closer to the 2011 defense that came within a drive of a title, not the 2008-2010 defenses that were just totally deficient.

And the offense held the ball 10 minutes longer than the Broncos did too...
