I think Fletcher Cox probably deserves his own thread too. Dude has been a beast so far and really isnt getting much love.

Cox will be a great one I predict. See what happens when you pick the best athlete (even if you have to move up a few spots), instead of "reaching" for players, and try to outsmart other teams? This year's draft was the best overall that I have ever seen from the Eagles. The best draft in the league.

No one will argue a point into the ground like keyred. It's really not worth it. If he feels the need to apologize, let him. Patented devils advocate debates is putting it nicely.

People want to see stats be4 they start praising, but it's clear that Cox has been key in the middle of that line. This kid has a very bright future.

I don't see the need to apologize. I said when he was given the position that I would give Castillo two years to analyze his coaching. Switching jobs, hardly an offseason last year, etc. IMO, it was really short-sighted to be calling for his head midway through last season.

I'm still not sure why it's ok to criticize someone off the bat, but it's not ok to apologize and give praise after stringing together 8 pretty solidly played defensive games.

At least FWFW can recognize the good job Castillo has done without it being a back-handed compliment.

Especially if it's a positive for the organization. How dare him....

We beat a team in CLE that is currently 0-4, by 1 point.

Balt is 3-1, so kudo's for pulling that one out. But that's exactly what we did. Allowing 23 points.

And NYG is now 2-2, and lost

ARI beat us SOUNDLY 27-6. They are now 4-0.

How about we threw out the 0-4 CLE game and revisit the defensive stats, since the other 3 teams are possibly playoff contenders?

So against teams we have won, they have a collective 5-7 record. Anyone that watched the 3 games we won, knows how much we barely won them and in fact played horrible. Hey, it's a win and i'll take a win, but anyone that thinks this record reflects how well this team has done - DEFENSE INCLUDED - is deluding themselves. We have a ways to go.

That said, yes the defense is better than last year, and it's improving. It is clearly not the weakest link at the moment. But to suggest we all need to apologize yet is premature ejactulation.
I've never seen someone try so hard to contort stats. You should be on Fox News
