    Broke

    So who watched tonight's 30 for 30?

Wow. Really eye opening episode about the lives of professional athletes. I think the show did a great job talking about the challenges these guys deal with after making tons of cash.

Andre Rison and Bernie Kosar were really good. Just about all of the guys were good.

I think they did a great job of really talking about how all these guys lose everything so easily.

Yeah, I saw it. It was eye opening. Gave me a different perspective on how easy it is to get caught up in the whirlwind.

Great show and a great series.

Bernie Kosar was particularly sad to me. He was bilked out of a lot of his money by his own father.

Curt Schilling is selling his home for 3.4 million because he lost 40-50 million with his videogame company. He still is an ESPN analyst so he'll be fine but that's still a big pile of cash.

I was flipping back and forth and caught some of the show.

Funniest thing I heard: The Oakland A's gave Rickey Henderson a check for a million dollars. A month later they realized that it had not cleared up to that point so they call Rickey and ask him if he has cashed the check yet. His answer was "No....I framed it!"

The other one was: one guy took his first check for something like $300,000 to a check cashing place.

I still have a lot of trouble feeling sorry for most of them. Most of them were completely ignorant of what was going on (or at least made it sound that way) but if you have that much money it is common sense to put the work in to make sure you aren't getting ripped off.
