    The O's have some nice upside of dudes who could step up.

    Matusz if he gets his head out of his @ss could be a HUGE addition.

    Tillman looked pretty good last year, and while he was quite lucky, he also has shown big time skills at every minor league stop. So now it's a matter of translating to the big stage.

    Britton is a nice MOR guy. He could be a guy with average K rates but a GB% over 50. Those guys have value.

    I really like Arrieta as well. He had really strong metrics last year. And if you add a guy like Bourn to that OF, the D is going to be really good and help out his FB tendencies.

    Obviously that's a lot to break right, but if even 1 or 2 of them (not to mention Steve Johnson has a pretty good Minors track record) the O's have a deep staff.

    they do lack a true #1 though. But i'd rather give any of those guys a shot rather than re-sign Joe Saunders.

    I could easily run through and say the same thing about the Red Sox though and I'd argue that they have a lot higher upside. A Matusz or Bundy(or both) could be a wildcard if they step up and take a job.

    I dont' think the red sox have the same upside as Bundy or Tillman.

    Unless you're talking about Rubby.

    I wasn't including Bundy when I said that. Just talking about the breakdown of the 1-5. If everything breaks right for Boston, you have a legit 1-2 in BUch/Lester, Lackey can be what you say Britton can be if not better, Doubront is better than Matusz(yes BM has more upside, but its not looking likely that he'll reach it), you have Rubby in the pipeline and Dempster as the solid vet. I'm simply saying that either rotation could be better than the other depending on who gets things to break right for them.

    Ok, ok, I now have the Yanks in 5th. I mean, they've lost Martin,Swisher and A-Rod, Tex and Granderson are hurt and they've added Youkilis. Not to mention guys coming off injury or who are 40 years old, or close. THey're in rough shape.

    Chris Davis... WOW!!!! 4 HR's and 16 RBI in the first 4 games. Adam Jones, .500 w/5 RS in 4 games.

    When the O's beat the Jays on Tuesday night, it was the 100th consecutive win without a loss when leading after 7 innings.

    That's pretty good stuff...

    I'm not saying that Manny Machado is better than Mike Trout or Bryce Harper... but I wouldn't trade him for either of them.

    Manny has become my favorite Oriole since Brooks Robinson.

    I get that, its not a ridiculous statement. He has a chance to be nearly as good as those guys while playing a more valuable position.
