2012 Rule Change Vote: Franchise tag compensation

If an owner places the franchise tag on a player and that player is signed by another owner, the current rule requires one 1st round draft pick as compensation.

This proposed rule change would increase the compensation.

My vote is irrelevant but disappointed to see it go to two 1sts. Movement is a good thing. So's a challenge, which is what the decision is when the compensation is a 1st. Oh well, no big deal. I franchise to keep, anyway, and people seem wary of trading picks for commodities.
