How would you guys feel about bring Dawk back? He's a UFA and raise the D's level up a notch simply by him being in the locker room. Would love for him to retire an Eagle.
As I said when we let him go: I do not wish to watch him die on the field.
Corporate ed reform
“What the best and wisest parent wants for his child, that must we want for all the children of the community. Anything less is unlovely, and left unchecked, destroys our democracy.”-John Dewey
truth be told...hes better than anything we can put out on the field. We shouldnt have let him go the first time. Is he just about finished...probably. Would i rather have the guy from the dolphins (im drawing a blank) yes. If he came back at a silly price...would i turn him down? No
Dawkins is better than anything we have. Even at his age he can still hit. I would definately move him to strong safety and it wouldn't shock me to see him do well.
I said it before he was draftes and ill say it again...Jarrett will be a pro bowl safety before too long.
Dawk has already said he is playing for Denver or no one.
Please tell me what brings you to this conclusion?
Jarrett cant hit, he cant cover, he cant tackle. Hes like a backup punter, he has no value or purpose. I hope he pans out but if he repeats his rookie uear hes gonna be a TC cut next year. Im starting to warm to the barran at 15 idea.
I guess im starting to open up to the idea of taking the best in an unexciting bunch.
Copples
Barron
Kirkpatrick
Brockers (my least favorite, saw way too much footage of him getting abused by guards. Hes gonna get owned in the nfl run game)
Poe (the dt i actually think is the best git for the wide 9)
We need a hard hitting angry safety a quick aggressive sam backer and a hog at dt next to jenkins 320+ lbs.
"Girl was bout as nutty as squirel $h!t"- Uncle ruckas.
You can pickup a big run stuffer DT in late rounds.
Trade down and take Barrons or take Smith in rd 2.
You could take a SAM with a late pick in Round 1.
Either way, I like LB, SS, and DT.
Deano I'm on Board with Barron at #15..... I think if JJ pans out great we have solid depth and a special teamer as well.....Barron is a difference maker.
Jarrett cant hit, he cant cover, he cant tackle. Hes like a backup punter, he has no value or purpose.
That's almost as bad of a statement as you thinking Courtney Upshaw was going to run faster than any other LB at the combine. Upshaw was never known for his speed.
Anyway on to Jarrett, I didn't like the pick back then, felt we reached hard to get him. But this guy can hit and tackle very well, though coverage is not his strength. Regardless, you can't give up on the kid after one year and keep drafting rookie safeties high expecting them to start, then if they suck keep drafting another one high the next year.
