    Bring on The Pope

Looks like we signed TE Leonard Pope recently of Kansas City. Not a bad signing as far as backup TEs go.

Say goodbye to the FB/TE in the offense. Pope is a sign of change in that dept. I'm not a big fan of Pope as a player, but he gives us some depth & versatility heading into the draft. And I'm sure he didn't break the bank on his one year deal.

He's a decent pass-catching TE & an additional red zone option. Between Pope, Johnson and Saunders, we may have options for 2-TE sets and short-yardage sets. For the price, I like the move.
