Dodgers sold to Magic fronted group for a whopping 2B

Wow. 2 billion dollars. And after running the Dodgers into the ground in less than a decade, Frank McCourt is gonna make out like a gang of bandits.

Good for him since Selig basically screwed him out of the deal.

Not to mention this wouldn't be an issue if he ex-wife wasn't a cheating prostitute.

I wonder what Magic's actual ownership stake is in the group?

I've been wondering the same. Who is the money guy in all of this? 2 Bil is quite a number, damn. Probably will be worth tit though considering the new TV deal and such. Book the dodgers signing the top 2 FAs next year.

"Magic is certainly the face of the new ownership, but the controlling partner in the group is Mark R. Walter, the CEO of Guggenheim Partners, which manages over $125 billion in assets."

Yeah, Magic fronted was bad usage. Magic faced would'be been much more appropriate.

I don't blame her for trying to get hers. Far as the cheating prostitute thing goes. I don't know about that either, but maybe ol' Frank wasn't handlin his business in the bedroom.

She's pretty out there. Remember hearing on the radio during the divorce play by play that she and some publicist had put together a strategy for her to first become Governor of California and then the first female President of the US.

Really, eh. Yeah, that is pretty wild.

I just heard on The Herd that McCourt could end up making a billion on the Dodgers sale himself. If that's the case she's gotta be kickin herself in the ass right about now.

She was asking for an absurd amount of alimony (What the hell does a woman with a law degree need alimony for?) so she'll probably just raise that to ridiculous levels.

Why the hell did Peyton Manning need whatever team he signed with in FA to pay him an average of 19 million dollars a year when he's already a gazillionaire? I can't call it.

I heard/read she already settled for 131 million in the divorce. The reason I said she's kickin herself in the ass now. Is because Frank McCourt is about to become a billionaire. The new Dodger owners have also agreed to pay of part of his 300 million debt, and he's gonna get paid separate monetary concessions from the stadium parking lot and surrounding land of Dodger Stadium.......after the sell.

131 million to Frank McCourt has become a wild weekend of hookers of cocaine money.

The fact that anyone gets alimony in a case like this is absurd and proof how broke the system is.
