NFL UPDATE - Sources report Philadelphia Eagles were contacted earlier today by Denver Broncos about LB D.J. Williams and are talking trade.
Could be nothing, but it's not like it doesn't make sense.

Makes sense. A 3rd would be a nice return.

3rd would be unbelievable. Just getting rid of his bad contract makes sense to me, anything else is a bonus.

I just can't understand how we have been so awful at drafting for the last 10 years. Anyway, if we get anything for him will be a plus.

    I wouldn't mind that a bit.
It is the neglect of timely repair that makes rebuilding necessary.

That's Mile High Messiah to you.

PS - 3 playoff wins in 10 years and 2-3 years of epic playoff choke jobs. Heck, Tebow could of done that.

Just gonna go ahead and make this a trade deadline thread...

@incarceratedbob: Source: Brandon Lloyd has been made avail from Denver they want a (#2) as of now. Redskins / Titans / Bills interested
Now while I can't speak for the guy in the OP, incarceratedbob, despite his unique name, was all over it in the offseason as far as trade and signing talk. If he says it I'll believe it

    MikeLib19 Mike L
@incarceratedbob why on the block now? think he made some waves about the move from orton to tebow?
    @incarceratedbob incarcerated bob
@MikeLib19 BINGO! Someone who is around that team made it known last week that Lloyd thinks Tebow being QB hurts his value $$$

Translation? We aren't going to sign him in offseason? The team likes what it sees in Demaryius? Trying to gather draft picks to move up for a QB?

Love Lloyd, but the Decker/Thomas/Royal lineup is good for me. Sprinkle in a late round WR prospect and we'll be fine for years

If Royal and DMT can stay healthy more often that is. If we could pull that off yes yes yes.

DJ for Assante would be better. I don't want to trade Lloyd unless Thomas is healthy or he is being an asshat

We have to trade for picks.

Don't forget we are rebuilding! The downside to trading Lloyd is it could damage Tebows development. Without a legit number 1 his passing will only suffer more!

I say trade DJ, keep Lloyd and if he wants to walk in the offseason let him walk. That said if a team gave up a 2nd round pick I don't think you could sneeze at that value.
