geneology scholars beleive that no person in the world is more than 40th cousins removed from any other person, except in highly-removed parts of Africa, Asia, and South America.
For two people like Kerry and Bush who are of the same race and both have ties to Massachusetts, i wouldnt be surprised to see as low as sixth cousins
the REALLY surprising thing is that only ONE president in American History has not had demonstrable family ties to the British Royal Family.
