Mr Man's Best Bets & Bankroll Game - W8 Results & W9 Picks

This week there were a few more dog winners, which meant that we had some movers going down the ladder... That included ALL FOUR of our leaders from last week losing money in the bankroll game and lots of lost BBs... In fact, we have only ONE player that is still perfect on BBs and that is VikingFan2K2 - congrats on calling eight straight winners...

We can also welcome back Mongo Freebase who has just strung together three Best Bet wins in a row... For the second week in a row, we welcome back a player to the bankroll game with $3,000 and a tremendous amount of work to do to get back in the running for that game's championships...

As for the Best Bet game, VikingFan2K2 is obviously in the lead with a perfect 8-0-0 record, but there are several at 7-1-0, 6-1-0 or 6-2-0 that are within striking distance... This game is far from over...

Last thing - take a look at the standings below and notice the following players: AndrewL, Mr Man, StuUKWI and WindyCityFlyer... All of these players have superb Best Bet records, but are nowhere near the top in the bankroll game... Two words people - Money Management...

Oh - and I want to thank DaBlueGuy for his persistence... Its been a rough year for you, but the fact you keep posting is wonderful and not only because I have been fading you the past three weeks (lol)...

Onto the standings:

vikesguy - $100,000, 6-2-0
Genus49 - $93,000, 7-1-0
Legends - $77,000, 6-2-0

Again, please continue to post Best Bet picks as we have seen two players return to the Bankroll game over the past two weeks. And the Best Bet game is far from over... Good Luck to PsychoViking who is one Best Bet win away from being our third returnee...

Some Quick Thoughts

In W7 action, San Fran travelled to Houston and played one poor half and one great half... Final Score was 24-21 for the Texans in a game they were favoured by 3... So a PUSH!

In W8 action, San Fran travelled to Indianapolis and played a solid road game... In the end, they just didn't have enough offense or defense and fell 18-14 to the Colts, but more than covered the 12.5 spread...

Also in W8 action, Houston travelled to Buffalo and just pounded them in the second half and ran away with a 31-10 game and easily covered the number...

In W9 action, Houston travels to Indianapolis and is only getting 9 or 9.5 points?? That is less than the team they beat two weeks ago... So why have the books done this? Is this because its a divisional game? Is this because the Texans are clearly better than the Niners? Does the book want Texan money?

My early lean is to watch Indy, on its second week after their bye, start rolling again on offense against a team vulnerable to the pass...

Final Score: IND 33 - HOU 17

(just some food for thought)

betting greater than 50% of your bank roll on games is how the SUCKERS go broke.

Packers, best bet.

Also considered cards, eagles, and niners.

I'm in on the Packers, as well. Freeman is making his 1st start and he looked dreadful in the preseason. I don't think that ends well for Tampa.

Bish... you sure about that Denver/Pittsburgh spread? At first, I thought 49 is awfully high for that game, then I saw it on a site at 39.5. And I think you're missing Atlanta/Washington.
