DC knows the draft better than anyone.
Remember?
Or you would at least think so from all the 'i told you so' threads and posts he makes.
You never see the times he pimps guys and they fall flat on their asses though.

If you are talking about www.nfldraftu.net, please know we have moved just recently to www.sidelinescouting.net
Short story - NFLDraftU had so many problems, not our fault. We had merged with MVN Networks who kept changing their script and it messed with our formatting. It made it near impossible to do site updates and the site just looked horrible (as you can see), so we opted out of our contract with them and started from scratch.
The only thing left from the transition is for them to put a redirect on NFLDraftU to Sideline Scouting; but of course, we'll probably be waiting for quite a while for that to happen.

Sorta funny post, really. He's on pace for 56 catches for 738 yards. Good, not great production. Especially for a first-rounder. Been done plenty of times before and will be done many, many more times in the future. It's not like he's dominating as a WR.
What has made Harvin a great addition to the Vikes so far is his overall production (30.7ypr, 2 TDs).
I understand what you're trying to achieve, but he hasn't done enough yet to prove your point.

I dunno. Most first round receivers (not all, obviously) struggle in their first year. And Harvin was especially expected to struggle since they didn't have him run a lot of different routes in college. Plus, he's played injured. I wouldn't say that Harvin is performing above expectations, but since I'm a homer, my expectations for him were fairly high. He's a pretty good candidate for OROY.

I don't really see why you're patting yourself on the back on this one. Like a few other guys in this draft, Harvin has been decent, but not spectacular as a WR. Where he's really separated himself from the pack is as a kick returner.
Most people that were saying he "isn't a WR," where saying that he's more of a playmaker than a true WR, nothing that's happened thus far suggests otherwise.

Harvin has been a lot better than decent at WR. He is putting up numbers in an offense that doesn't pass a ton, has one established vet on the outside (Berrian), one absolutely emerging beast of a WR (Rice), and one of the more underrated TE's in the league (Shiancoe). And he has done it all with a bum shoulder to boot that really limited him in a couple of games.
Kid's going to be a STUD if he holds up physically and keeps his nose clean in the offseason. Catches almost everything thrown at him, has a speed/quickness quotient that very few defenders can come even close to matching, and is a natural runner after he gets the football in his hands. I honestly at this point can't compare him to anyone at this point his skill set is so unique.

We used to not pass a ton, but we're passing a lot more with Favre so he is getting some opportunities. But we have two established receivers and a TE and he's been dinged up so being able to come on this quickly is awesome IMO. Considering that he was considered to be a Ted Ginn like pick, I'm happy.

Aside form the fact that he has proven to have EXCELLENT hands, and more importantly that he can run routes very well (the main question of those who have said he isn't a "true" WR). What are the skills of a "true WR" that he hasn't shown so far?
