Fantasy baseball lessons: Drafting 20-20 threats

If you selected Willy Taveras in 2009 fantasy baseball drafts, you took a hit when he couldn't deliver another 68-steal season. Drafting middle-round players with both 20-homer and 20-steal potential helped me win two industry titles this past season and will give your roster better balance for 2010 - without relying on one-dimensional speedsters.

I was surprised not to see Franklin Gutierrez on there.

He's hitting his power 27 season and should put up close to a 20-20 this year IMO.

Yeah, Q, I had him in there originally but then decided to focus on guys that were more frequently drafted. Gutierrez was more of a post-draft pickup in the majority of leagues. But yes, that could be one for this year, too.

I'll be honest, I would take him before a few of the guys on the list. Namely Headley and Stubbs (who I think is going to be sharing too much with Dickerson to be a true roto factor).
