It's not part of a list though, it's a prerequisite.
Of course it is. Without a viable arena, the NHL isn't coming. And right now, there is no plan, agreement or even a feasible strategy to building an arena.
Well unless they can play hockey on a baseball field, it's sorta a big deal.
How? One has an arena, and one doesn't.
That was my thought too.
I would lose at least 50 friends and family.
You could. Bikes are also something that are easily sold second hand and/or acquired in other means than going to an actual bike shop. Even as someone who grew up outside the city and biked a lot...
Good point. Population wise, the major cities. But there's a lot of great parts of America outside of those.
Idaho is awesome. The reputation of racism there, while not wholly inaccurate, is overblown and mostly confined to small, rural parts of Northern Idaho.
They've tried. The Port of Seattle has fought it to the point of a dead end.
They want them to put one in Bellevue or Tukwila. Which is laughably unrealistic.
Too many factors to fit into a bar graph. Where are these bike trips being taken? Cops aren't pulling people over on mountain trails.

It's cheaper than a car...

When's the last time you've even been to an American inner-city?
It's possible it could be more common than you'd think if it's an income thing.
Seattle doesn't deserve an NHL team.
I don't think Sey necessarily explained his point very well, but if his larger point is that there are gaps in the story that prevent us from drawing any conclusions, then I would agree with him.
Yeah, that was my first thought too.
Fangraphs had an interesting article today about Russell and Bryant. Bryant was obviously ready and a matter of time, but Russell is probably a little aggressive.
But he could be an upgrade. I...
But I laughed.
Ok, let me rephrase...
Vick had NFL talent.
Vick had talent.
Not here (Pacific Northwest). $100K (even as a ceiling) is a very comfortable life, especially factoring in a lucrative pension.
