The Cowboys now have plenty of wiggle room should they be interested in extending players such as Sean Lee and Dez Bryant a little early.

Free and Jermey Parnell will most likely battle for the starting right tackle spot during this summer's camps.

Thoughts?

I say that we watch the FA wirer in this off season and we can find someone worth that money, now he is just a body incase of Injury I say

Cut by the Cowboys in March, Sensabaugh has elected to walk away from the game instead of looking to play for another team in 2013. He signed a one-day contract Thursday to retire with the team. The Cowboys will place Sensabaugh on the reserve/retired list.

He joined the Cowboys in 2009 as a free agent after spending his first four years in Jacksonville. He started all but two games in his four seasons with the Cowboys and had eight interceptions. He played with a number of different safeties, from Ken Hamlin (2009) to Alan Ball (2010) to Abram Elam (2011) to Barry Church, Danny McCray and Charlie Peprah (2012).

The Cowboys signed Sensabaugh, who will turn 30 in June, to a five-year extension in 2011, guaranteeing him $8 million, but he played only one full season of the deal. Instead of owing him $3 million this year, the Cowboys chose to cut him to create needed salary-cap room.

In 15 games last year, Sensbaugh had 62 tackles, six pass deflections, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss.

Last year, Cole Beasley, Ronald Leary and Ben Bass spent time on the active roster.

Here is the up-to-date list:

LB Brandon Magee, Arizona State
QB Dalton Williams, Akron
S Jakar Hamilton, South Carolina State
RB Kendial Lawrence, Missouri
CB Devin Smith, Wisconsin
CB Dustin Harris, Texas A&M
LB Cameron Lawrence, Mississippi State
WR Greg Herd, Eastern Washington
FB Paul Freedman, Virginia
LB Tank Reed, SMU
DB Jeff Heath, Saginaw Valley State
K Spencer Benton, Clemson
WR Eric Rogers, Cal Lutheran
CB Xavier Brewer, Clemson
LB Deon Lacey, West Alabama

Interesting to note the Cowboys did not sign an offensive lineman. Perhaps some could come in on a tryout basis for the May 10-12 rookie mini-camp. One tryout player, who is expected to sign is tight end B.J. Stewart from Cumberland.

I am not sure about this pick, Its a reach I believe, we should of drafted G Smith and traded him later later for OL. JJ wants to make a splash and this would of been it. But trading down and not getting enough for the first round trade. ...
